Vegetarian restaurants can unfortunately be overlooked as they are often stigmatised as dull, uninteresting eateries but Joie flips this misconception on its head.  It presents contemporary vegetarian food with Japanese-European influences and serves these exclusively via a 6 course lunch or a 7 course dinner.  The food here is absolutely wonderful; light yet filling and every bite is a creative delight.  The entire lunch/dinner course covers a varied palette of tastes and you never get too comfortable with the food - each dish is an adventure.  Judged solely on the quality and aesthetics of the food as well as the setting, one could be forgiven for expecting this meal to cost an arm and a leg - however, the price is also another pleasant surprise, it's only S$38.80++ for the 6 course lunch.  It's an absolute steal.  

I've brought a lot of friends here and none have left disappointed; I'm confident you won't either.

This all about the meals that have left an interminable impression on me.  Instead of reviewing every eatery I come across (there are more than enough websites that do that), I'll only be writing about places I enjoy, that I've repeatedly visited and personally feel that it's worth your time to check out too.  By definition, all these eateries will be 4/5 stars on my old rating system so won't need a ranking.  I will indicate the price.
